Welcoming Susan Vogt to the Westminster Team!

Writer: Elaine TaylorElaine Taylor

We are thrilled to welcome Susan Vogt as Westminster’s new Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager! Susan officially joined the team in February, but she is no stranger to Westminster. As a longtime volunteer and former Board Member, she has been deeply connected to our mission and the Near Eastside community for years.

Susan brings a passion for engaging volunteers and strengthening community connections. In her new role, she looks forward to welcoming both new and returning volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and empowered in their work.

She will also serve as a bridge between Westminster and the broader community, spreading the word about our mission and impact. Having lived on the Near Eastside, where Westminster works, Susan has been inspired by the organization’s dedication to serving local residents and is eager to continue supporting its mission.

Her day-to-day responsibilities include managing volunteers, coordinating outreach efforts, and assisting with our annual event. She finds great fulfillment in meeting volunteers and guiding neighbors through the Food Pantry, where she can see firsthand the positive impact of Westminster’s work. She is excited to connect with more community members and invites anyone interested to reach out or invite her to speak at local neighborhood meetings or churches to learn more about Westminster’s initiatives.

A dedicated community advocate, Susan has lived in the Cottage Home Neighborhood and has spent over 30 years working with organizations serving the Near Eastside. Her experience and commitment to this community make her a perfect fit for this role.

Looking ahead, Susan envisions a bright future for Westminster as it continues to expand its services, particularly through the Food Pantry, to assist more neighbors facing food insecurity. She is eager to contribute to this growth and ensure that Westminster remains a strong resource for those in need.

We are so excited to have Susan on board and can’t wait to see the impact she will make! If you see her around, be sure to say hello and give her a warm Westminster welcome.
