As we close the books on 2024, we find ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude and inspired by the resilience, hope, and kindness we’ve witnessed throughout our Near Eastside community.
The numbers tell part of the story—nearly 6,000 neighbors supported, over 37,000 touchpoints of care, and more than 21,000 meals served. But the real impact lives in the moments shared and the connections created.
Consider the single parent who arrived feeling anxious and unsure, then left with arms full of groceries and a heart full of relief. Think of the child who unwrapped a holiday gift, not just a toy but a symbol of hope and belonging, thanks to the Christmas Basket Program. Remember the seniors who found comfort and companionship in our pantry, and the students who discovered that afterschool programs could open doors to new knowledge and dreams they never imagined.

This year, we reached new neighbors (1,154 who connected with Westminster for the first time), supported families who faced rising costs and unexpected challenges, and brightened the season for over 1,500 individuals through Christmas baskets.
Our volunteers—581 strong—contributed nearly 7,000 hours, a testament to what we can achieve when hearts and hands come together.
Youth programs offered 960 hours of enrichment, nurturing a generation of future leaders. And hundreds of children started their school year prepared and confident, armed with 591 sets of supplies to fuel their learning journey.
As we reflect on these achievements, we also look ahead. Our vision for 2025 is even bolder: we want to deepen our impact, expand our reach, and ensure that no neighbor’s needs go unmet.
