Family and Adult Services
The Family and Adult Services program assists residents in the Westminster community who are struggling financially. The food pantry, soup kitchen, adult education program, adult education program, and Gennesaret Free Clinic, all provide families with basic needs.

Twice per month, neighbors that resides within our service area can select items from the food pantry. If that neighbor is not in our service area, we will serve them one time, and work to connect them with other resources.

Soup Kitchen
Westminster’s soup kitchen provides a hot nutritious meal to over 1,000 individuals each month in a friendly atmosphere with no eligibility requirements. Those that we serve include homeless, low-income, adults, children, and families. All meals are provided by Second Helpings and paired with food from Panera Bread, Kroger, Whole Foods, Aldi, and many others.

Senior shopping day
On the third Wednesday of each month, a special food pantry day is devoted to those 55 years and older living in Marion County. The Senior Shopping Day includes both the food pantry and soup kitchen.

Gennesaret Free Clinic
Westminster partners with Gennesaret free clinics staffed by volunteer medical professionals, to serve anyone who does not have the resources to pay for health services out of pocket. This includes any residents of Marion County, Indiana who are uninsured, underinsured, or insured. Patients are seen on a first-come basis with no appointments.

High school equivelancy (HSE) Classes
Westminster Neighborhood Services believes in partnering with outside organizations that excel in their experience. The Adult Education programs offered at Westminster include some of the best programs in the city of Indianapolis.
The goal is to offer hands-on classes, workshops, and other useful skills for low-income residents at minimal to no cost. Programs focus on, but are not limited to:

cooking and nutrition

basic math and reading

parenting

anger management

job readiness and resume building

financial literacy

Neighbors are welcome to participate in as many classes and activities as they choose.
High School Equivalency classes are on summer break and will resume at a later date.

Westminster’s goal is to continually expand its programming and community partnerships to provide services that meet the need of families living on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis, within Westminster’s service area.
