National Volunteer Month Spotlight
It was more than 7 years ago when Jim Runnels first heard about Westminster Neighborhood Services through his church, Fairview Presbyterian. Now you can always find him somewhere around Westminster doing food picks-ups, organizing the store, and helping out wherever he is needed. When asked about volunteering at Westminster, Jim said:
"My favorite part about volunteering here is working with the neighbors and the employees...I have lived a pretty blessed life, and I figured it was time that I give back to the community."
He is one of the hundreds of amazing volunteers that make our work on the Near Eastside possible. In the last year we had 290 individual come together through the food pantry and soup kitchen, the youth program, and various events like Christmas Baskets and the Back to School Bash.

We are so thankful for volunteers like Jim Runnels who help us serve and love our neighbors so well. Learn more about how you can get involved and serve your community here: How to Get Involved | WNS (westmin.org)

#FoodFight2021
The Food Fight is back for 2021! It is Westminster's biggest biggest fundraising event, in support of our mission on the Near Eastside. Typically it is set up in a "Chopped" style competition with teams from local high schools. However, due to Covid-19, we are going to shake it up a little!

Back in Full Swing
We are thrilled to have our building filled with laughter and smiles again! Our Afterschool Youth Program is now back to five days a week, and Summer Program is just around the corner.
Not only does our youth program foster an environment where students feel safe and are always learning, but it is also full of adventures and fun! You can follow along with the Youth Program Facebook Page.

Donate today to help us continue to serve our Westminster kiddos.
